This song has been one of the most influential and raw worship songs for me this past year. I think the beautiful depth and honesty of these lyrics remind me of the laments in so many of the Psalms. Psalms that cry out to God, Psalms about trials and struggles, Psalms asking God difficult questions.
The cool thing about these laments, and this song, is that it ends in a place of trust, surrender, and praise. God wants us to be real with Him. God wants us to ask questions and cry out to Him. But ultimately we should land in a place of trusting Him, seeing His Character and Heart, going to His Word, and giving Him praise 🕊️
