Which cell is used for memos is because for example if the ovum is considered to mother cell , it will have 23 chromosomes . Now when it is in interphase it will double to 23 chromosomes with 2 chromtids each , that is 46 chromatids , and then meiosis should occur . But in this short , the before interphase chromatids in meiosis is 46. So which cell is even used for meiosis
