I love dr Mike's humility. I've watched his videos and oftens admits not nothing enough about something or anything at all about a topic. That's why i like him 😂

A fine motto to live by -- "We need to be confident in saying 'I don't know' and celebrate those people who say 'I don't know'". Thank you for saying this, Doctor Mike 🙏

Ngl, for a split second I thought he said inflation. So while he’s going on about how inflation is good and Dr. Mike is nodding I’m just like “Tf are these guys talking about??” Lmao

My physio always talks about the safe pain and inflammation because that's how you build strength. Excess of anything isn't good but a bit is important for your body. When I get a cold I try to cope with a mild fever and curl up in bed with extra warm blankets to help the fever do its work. Only once has a fever got so high it's been dangerous and needed hospital treatment.

I appreciate a doctor who say, “I don’t know what’s going on with you.” But I celebrate the doctor who follows it up with, “But I’m going to help you find out.”

“I’m just guessing”. I respect him much more for qualifying his statement, especially in front of a man who May know more. THAT is the sign of a respectable doctor. Regardless of the type of doctor he is.

I love that you interview people who agree and disagree with you. You’re willing to challenge yourself Dr. Mike.

Being able to say "I dont know" is so powerful, but only if its followed up with "Lets find out"

When I'm having a flu symptoms but don't get the fever, I tend to spend more time in a sauna or a hot bath to raise my temperature artificially and usually I get better a lot faster than when I can't do it.

This made me rest easier, dietary inflammation has dropped with a low added sugars plant based diet and has really helped me immensely, now the only inflammatory things I do are smoking weed and moving. "let the fever run its course", the requirement for covid is to not have a fever anymore without any assistance for a day also no? I think if inflammation is to the point of stressful discomfort especially then its impeding healing rate but I'm just guessing without any degree.

I always was against reducing fever if it's not too bad even as a child since I knew the whole point of it is to fight the infection so unless it goes overboard let the body do it's job

Exactly I have to take anti inflammatories because my autoimmune disease causes excess inflammation due to an over active immune system that gets confused and fights my own tissues instead of calming itself down and realizing that there’s no current threat. BUT at the same time my physical therapists are intentionally causing inflammation in areas where I’m trying to heal from old injuries because we need the blood to go to that area to help it heal.

me saying “idk” is not a humble move. i do it because it basically insures that i’m not wrong.
