I have, in the past few years, lifted the lid on difficulties that go back to my childhood. not past the 'gets worse before it gets better' worse part.... recently discovered that part of my recent trouble is that someone I work with is a flashback trigger for me...

I’m digging up my past sexual abuse at the hands of my father, without being able to get therapy yet. And often it feels I’m regressing to feelings and ways of being I thought I’d gotten over. But, I have also seen the light at the end of the tunnel, how beautiful things can be. I’m working to where that can become my every day reality.

It’s true. Especially in society where there’s comparison or invalidation. Anything that supports clarity and coming out of that self critic is imperative.

It wasn't always helpful for me. While my current therapist is a good fit, I had two previous therapists create new trauma, and even the current one created some until we got up to a good place of understanding like we now have after years of work.

This... all of it. I can't move on from how low I feel. I struggle to see anyone would ever genuinely love me and chose me. I feel so low and it's becoming harder to see my value.
