Happened in Ft. Worth Texas in the 1970ās. Her parents knew him around town. Tragic he lived his life raising his own 2 sons knowing he killed this girl on her dance night. Her boyfriend was also there & he beat him in the head with a gun.

I know ultimately that its better late than never to know who did this to this beautiful young girl but it still leaves me feeling so ripped off for Carla and her family that this POS got to live what is ultimately the rest of his life free, 46yrs he shoukd have spent behind bars and any punishment he gets now wont be long enough because he is already so old.
I got ripped off in a similar sort of fashion, not a murder but i was SA by my uncle in 1987, i was 7yrs old, he was a police officer too, nobody would believe me including my own parents or the police, in 2016 i found out 5 other girls had reported him years before me and the police were now proceeding with historical SA charges against him, when the court case was finally heard in the court and he was found guilty in 2019 he was spared actual prison because he was dying of heart failure and emphysema, he died 2wks and 2 days after court ended, i waited 32yrs for justice and he STILL squirmed out of punishment, as for my so called parents.... i coyldnt even get a simple "im sorry for not believing you" instead i got "its in the past, its time to get over it, we're not interested in rehashing the past" fml.

I was nine years old and exactly 1 mile away from there when it happened. Sound asleep in my bed. I remember my family talking about it because she was my brotherās age. Happened behind the bowling alley
I remember going to the bowling alley and lookingat the back exit across the street behind the bowling alley in the parking lot where she was taken when I was a teenager

This poor detective said he knew who did this to Carla but he obviously could prove it. I believe with her parents this detective also suffered for 46 years knowing but not being able prove it. Itās was a tragedy for all who were involved. My hart goes out to all of them.
