Things have value if people believe they have value. Take the US dollar for example. Nothing is backing it accept belief. Now take Bitcoin and since people believe in it, it has value .Bitcoin also has utility. It has limited government control, limited quantity, it can be moved across international borders and is by far better than gold.

Is this really the Gold bug talking about utility?? We all bought gold in the early 2000’s as a store of value and protection against hyper inflation. That WAS gold’s appeal and he’s shading Bitcoin for being an even better store of value (and easy to store and move.)
