Clutter stresses me out but I can't control the people responsible for it so I turn that part of my brain off so I can just live better.
But that's not without its cost.
To stop stressing about it I have to stop caring about it, but that means not caring about the upkeep of the house, so I don't. I just don't add to the mess.
When I lived on my own, my home was clean and organized.
If you're a neat person, don't live with dumb, lazy people.

Could also be autism adhd related. Though there are very tidy people with asd or adhd.
Clutter is a "comorbidity'. I just get drained even thinking about it. And the knowledge I have to do it all over again in a few days. Its like getting snowed in. Its not the individual flakes that are the problem. It is just so much and it never stops coming.

I call mine a hoard, which it definitely is. I have been unable to let go of virtually worthless items back to childhood only being controlled by adult supervision. Now decades later my home is filled and my property is filled with arguably worthless junk. After five years being mostly absent from home caring for my mother hours away I finally realize the extent of the problem. I am not only overwhelmed when I survey what Iâve created I am still unable to let go. Help! Lol.
