If you want something to compliment his eyes, I would recommend a yellow bandanna, a blaxk bandanna with white/yellow daisies, a scarf, a white or black jacket with a yellow shirt below, or something like that. I'm not sure what kinds of clothing you're going for but something that screams "Maverick" that also compliments his palette would be nice. You could even go with a yellow jacket and a grey shirt to compliment his palette.
You may even be able to get away with a cute yellow or orange hoodie since he seems to look good in orange too.

Honestly I believe if you wanted to keep the orange that you originally had in the life jacket you could give him a Hawaiian shirt instead with cute little flowers on it or some other design. Idk just a little thought it’s up to you.

Someone could honestly do a whole psychological as to why Bugs Bunny is naked and its normal, but him wearing something "revealing" would make him "feel" more naked. This falls in line with that weirdness and its fascinating to watch. Also I don't think Ive seen Mav without the lifejacket; he looks good!
