I literally needed this today. I have felt miserable for a year now and I am very hard on myself. I need to start caring for myself and accept that the pain in working out and getting up in the morning is there to push me through and showing that I’m growing. I really want to change, there’s a lot at stake.

I would argue that the middle way is the best. You have to invest in your physical health and personal relationship to maintain and strenghten them but at the same time you should have enough grace with yourself to slow down and enjoy. Pain and suffering are not one in the same. Pain is physical in nature you feel it suffering is when you anticipate pain and increase it inside your mind, so pain from certain things like injection will be same for everyone but people will suffer differently based on how big they make it inside their mind.

Once you accept that life is suffering, every day is feels great. I have adopted this saying a few years back after a loss and it has changed my perspective now I lean into the pain and discomfort to better myself
