My family’s Caribbean and this rule is the same. No sitting on bed in street clothes no shoes in the house and definitely shower before bed plus wash hands as soon as you get home.

I wouldn’t be able to do this because I have eczema. my derm tells me to only shower two to three times a week because otherwise I get flare ups. If I’m sweaty or something I’ll just hop in and do a rinse of the jewels and armpits.
