What's so absolutely silly about the Halves situation, is all they had to do is turn them in lineage templates like Dhamphirs and Hexbloods from Ravenloft. Do that and give names like Elfkin, Orcblood, and Stoneborn and then they become plug and play for both cosmetics and mechanics. They have the tools, all they have to do is implement it.

I swear it's easier just to pick some base rules the party agrees on, and just homebrew everything else. My nephew has led all our campaigns for years. He creates everything from scratch, the world, lore, characters. As long as it doesn't break the narrative he has in mind, we can do almost anything we want. Homebrew campaigns are just the best.

Well, when they went from race to species, genetically, that would end the half race option... Though warforged is arguably half machine half sentience, so there is a Logic-bomb argument opening for PCGen "discussions" between DM and Players

more upset by the Divine Smite changes more than anything
if they were looking to nerf the damage potential, adding a "once per turn" ruling and leave it untouched otherwise would have been fine
they went WAAAAAAAAAY too far here, making it silenceable, counterspellable, AND having it compete with all their OTHER bonus actions...after having made Lay on Hands a bonus action no less

Well Wizards of the Coast abandoned Brazil, my party and most DMs I know switched to a Brazilian system. Admittedly the switch was mostly out of spite, but by the gods did we do it right on the perfect timing.
