That's a confusing part, a 2 lane suddenly turned to 3 lanes at the end. And which common rule that the left lane in a 2 lane can be used to turn left or exit straight or up to 12 o'clock of the round about. This is where local knowledge is crucial which we can't expect ALL drivers on the road there have local knowledge..

I’m a DI and I asked a lot of the examiners at my local test centre if this was allowed and they all said no and that if a pupil did this they would fail them, even if they did it safely and cautiously with all the checks done properly. It’s not worth the risk, if you’re in the wrong lane just continue in that lane.

I was taught that you indicate until you've gone past the exit before you want to exit. Then you indicate to show you're coming off at that exit.

when you take 2nd exit from this roundabout and go further down towards easthill there is a mini roundabout! do we have to signal right to exit that one ? beccausw if you observe naturally the road going towards east hill has a bend towarsa right!

Colchester is a great place to learn to drive because it's road systems and layouts are so trash. If you can drive here and understand it you can drive most places. Awful place to drive. 😂

There are a lot of comments saying it's better to go the wrong way if you're in the wrong lane. You can do this but in this video I am assessing this particular drive and Jacob did nothing unsafe or illegal so there was no driving fault to mark. His lane change did not negatively affect anyone.
