The truth is he went to bed when the votes for the day of the election were still being counted and the absentee, mail in, and military stationed in foreign countries had yet to even be started to be counted. The way it has been for years. Votes from to polls cast on election day (mostly republican) are counted first, then all the absentee and mailed in ballots (mostly democrats) are not counted until all the ballots cast during the polling hours on election day.
