The spider thing is WAY to relatable

Yes, it's like: Shut up brain, everything's okay.

I've read/listened to enough true crime that I can say dog walkers aren't usually murdered, they're just the ones finding all the bodies. So no worries, you're good 😂

“Am I getting murdered?” Super relatable lol

Literally me. I’m undiagnosed, but my brain never stops. Even while doing “relaxing” activities. I listen to music and ASMR to drown the voices out.

This is way too relatable 😂 for me I think of all of the worst possible things that could happen in hypothetical situations or in the situation I would have been in and it gets me so freaked out. I constantly have to remind myself self to be present. ADHD and anxiety turns a person into an internalized “what if” person

When you live with loved ones it becomes constant as your brain worries about every bang or clatter or cough, you worry about stairs and slippery floors and ladders, you worry about expired meds or gas, fire hazards, trees in storms coming down on your home.. it never stops.

My favorites: - There could be insects in my salad - slightly swollen lymph nodes means googling „lump under skin“ (you can guess the result) and panicking over that - did I forget to do (insert literally anything important)…

This is a fear of mine & there is brown recluse in my area. I have 2 ferrets & they love going in shoes so I started rewarding them & thanking them for inspecting the shoes. Now if I put on the excited voice & tell them to inspect the shoes they inspect my shoes although sometimes the wrong pair. Added bonus my Nemy loves killing spiders.

All it took was living down in Florida and finding a scorpion in my uncles shoes from me to always check. Them bugs are no joke fr lol😂

I always turn my shoes upside down and click the heels together before putting them on. If there are any bugs rocks or anything my dog could drop in them this will usually clear them. Learned this from old school cowboys.

If in Australia that isn't a bad thing to check before putting your shoes on

I always check for scorpions in my shoes. Do I live in a country with any native scorpions? No. But wouldn’t I look silly if I stopped and one day a visiting scorpion got my toe?

The spider thing is legit if you live in an area with brown recluse (so like Kansas, Missouri, etc. but not any further north than that). They like to hide in cozy places and they're mostly chill little dudes, but if they're squished against your skin and feel trapped (such as putting your foot in a shoe where they're hanging out, or rolling onto them in bed) they'll bite in defense. Even though they're one of the few medically significant spiders, most people end up just needing basic at-home first aid to care for a brown recluse bite if they even get bitten in the first place, which is extremely rare. If it happens you should still go to the doctor (ideally with very clear photos of the spider in question, or even the spider itself in a jar so it can be identified!) but if you are an adult, you won't die from it

Me, but the hikes and walks make me look for bears and think about them the whole time.
