She probably never even considered why tropes like 'getting the girl' in adventure/action movies appeals to people, despite literally taking notes from those who have been successful in that field.

But here's the thing. He's not dragging her. He's making fun of her as a friend would. Context matters. They are still good friends. She is just not a note taker, and she's always adding her ideas. I wish he would call her out. She coattailed off Spielberg's work to get the Lucasfilm job.
