This is especially on cases where we move around and when you connect suddenly you find yourself moving to a different country. Usually i keep these friends in my heart, but they don't engage at the same intensity or frequency as me... But the good part is we make new friends. Happened to me sevel times. Used to cry a lot. But now I came to understand that letting them go was actually good for my mental peace. Only thing you could do was to ask them directly the reason. I did and came to know they had actually really wrong perception about me for so many years! I didn't explain myself to them and let them go. Now I'm at peace with myself.
