Most people have trauma, and don’t even realize it… And it’s creating major challenges for their life.

My repetition compulsion: i date men that at first are safe and supportive, but over time become emotionally unavailable and unloving. They end up expecting submission from me without making sure my needs are taken care of at all, which i could never go along with. Just like with my mom. My repetition compulsion was/is insane feeling, like logically i would have it in my mind that i needed to be single for awhile and i would never give up my sense of self again. Within three nonths, each time, someone else appeared. I would take things slow, and still i get sucked in. I do so want someone to love on and cherish, and i havent found someone who has been willing to accept me and my journey in full, yet. This has been happening from 17yo through 33yo. I'm wanting to step out of this dynamic, fully. My mom is still alive, I would enjoy it if we could repair our relationship; so far my mother has been resistant to vulnerable communication. My dad passed a decade ago. I sure do miss him!
