Lost me at 'spiritual'.
...and the inability to imagine a lifestyle unlike their own.
Better alternative? How about a life of learning? Crafting? Helping? Caring? Usefulness?
And what's wrong with necessity driven lives? Being healthy, happy, social, loved and loving and everything else are all necessities.
Don't get me wrong, I agree that creativity is important to learn. But not as taught solely by artists, and most certainly not for the purpose of mysticism.
And it's too early to think about the future this man is talking about. Far too many people are still in the throws of necessity insecurity, and most people lack the education, awareness and ability to be anything but slaves to the wielders of weaponized technology.
