I wear sliders whenever I am in my sewing studio. I have a sewing business and the only time I don't wear my sliders is when I am marking alterations during fitting appointments. And that is only because I am afraid of transferring dirt from my footwear onto dresses if I accidentally step on them.
I just can't not wear footwear when using the sewing machines any more. It's like I can't drive with flip-flops or with ballet style shoes. It's all about safety.
