@53 i started working at a shipping company, loading trucks, lots of walking and lifting heavy packages , five days a week, 4.5 hours a night. It was tough for the first month after having worked a sedentary office job for 15 years. After a couple of months I'd lost 20lbs back to my HS weight, my aching knees and feet stopped aching, now I'm as fast or faster and more physical than most of the 20 year olds there and I realized the effect on my body and physical health was at least as important as the extra money I was earning. At first my knees ached so much i could barely stand up after getting down. I also adjusted my diet to increase protein intake, you need to really increase protein, vitamins, and mineral intake. My go to cheap protein sources are eggs, milk, and whole milk cottage cheese. The first two months were hard shaking off that sedentary body. I also started doing push ups, pullups and dips usually every day.

Now we need to get people to utilize this valuable information to improve the quality of life in the second part of their lives.

What is defined as late middle age? What is defined as "train them hard? What controls were in place? What medical issues did they already have? Very vague. If you are going to say you've done research at least put the parameters somewhere.

Middle age is 40 nowadays. Not many make it to 100

Why is stuff like this so shocking to researchers? Aging IS the problem. Fix that and we fix age related illnesses.

This is a meaningless word salad. "Youthfulness" is not an objective standard of measurement.

It’s irrelevant how effective it was if it turns out not to be a sustainable for people. We’ve shown over and over again that there’s only so much that people are willing to do.

Where’s the study so I can read it? He is so vague.

I am 44 years old. I do BJJ a few days a week. And I work out at home basically every day in small doses - kettlebell, pullups, hanging, stretching, walks with my dog, etc. And I am in better shape now than I was in my 20s.

You have a good voice for videos. I’m guessing you could get a job as a narrator or something. Look into it. Don’t ask me how.

How come whenever I try to do that I end up literally in bed recuperating for 3-10 days after just a single workout?
