I've just realised I haven't heard a single word about the GMO panic for well over ten years. Like, I'm sure there are conspiracy theorists out there that have it on their buzzword rotation, but it's not been in the public consciousness for a long time. That kind of makes me happy. Edit: I totally agree that there are serious problems with how GMOs are owned by capital and used in an abusive manner to extract profit by controlling our food supplies, which is a terrible situation. The GMOs themselves aren't the problem though, capital is, and the conspiracy theories act as a smokescreen for these real issues.

I soaked some chickpeas for a couple days, but unexpectedly didn't have time to cook them. I drained them and put them in the fridge, forgetting about them for a week or so. Pulled them out dreading cleaning rotten gunk out of my bowl, only to discover they sprouted, smell fresh, and are even more edible than if i had just cooked them just after soaking! Got em in the pot right now!

Seriously Hank, I appreciate every bit of knowledge you take the time to teach us all! Even with everything else you have going on right now, you still take the time to entertain and educate us in the best of ways! You have the strength of an Immortal and a heart the size of a Dyson Sphere 💖 keep keeping on Brother Man! You are needed for a much longer amount of time right here on this little wet rock floating through an almost endlessly empty space of infinite possibilities 🙏💯🙏

The reason this is important is because you can increase yields for food production. You always get seeds that don't sprout no matter the conditions. The goal would also be to synchronize germination so all crops are in the same stage when it comes to e for harvest
