A 70yr old colleague liked me, but I rejected her since I am 20 plus years younger and not interested. After that, she started causing trouble, being aggressive with other females at work for speaking with me, etc. She behaved silly in front of everyone, so it made it easy for me to gather witnesses. I only recently began to realize that my sister is a narcissist and these various tactics plagued our family for decades because we did not know what we were dealing with. Very late in life I know understand some of this and I feel a lot less stressed and distressed

I have an aunt whose husband became a dentist, and they live in a nice upscale neighborhood with big expensive homes. One of their neighbors did the following.
The wife went around telling everyone that they "inherited" a beautiful home on a large ranch in another state and decided to "jump on it" and move there. They were so excited to move and live there that they already began packing and making arrangements. Sure enough, about three days later, they'd packed all their things and left, though they also left behind a noticeable amount of furniture, tools and lawn equipment.
Turns out what really happened is their home got foreclosed.
I get that no one wants to be embarrassed, but that story became popular enough that it passed through my family grapevine who had no relation to those neighbors whatsoever.

This reminds me of someone I met. The thing is, they forget their own stories sometimes. Itās interesting to take notes of what they say then compare it if you bring up the same scenario weeks later.

Are Narcs often compulsive liars? Or is that something different on its own? I have a friend who is a compulsive liar and she's also very self centered. Like if you tell her you've got a headache, she'll say "I'm sorry. I'm not feeling good either. My endometriosis is flaring really bad and i just puked."
