I sometimes wonder if our tests for VO2 max favor these rather than actual real life exercise. The test I know of are a 12min cooper test or 1 mile walk test. I find that if my exercise fits these 2 test formats, my Apple Watch will update my scores and it will go up. If I do intervals or exercise that doesn’t neatly fit within 1 mile walk or steady state for 12ish minutes, Apple Watch will update scores with lower VO2 max.

I'm in menopause and the only exercise that has actually helped me is weight lifting. I can really feel and see the difference . I am so much stronger and feel younger and can see my abs now .I'm 55 and feeling more alive ❤❤❤

90% max heart rate for 4 minutes, then rest for 3 minutes. Repeat 4 more times. Do this 4 times a week. MaxHR Tanaka formula for over age 40 : MaxHR = 208-(0.7*age); otherwise the fox formula is OK: MaxHR =220-age.
