My parents drink alcohol on occasion. My dad has maybe four or five beers a week. And my mom drinks maybe five glasses of wine a week. My mother is 75 and my father is 80. And honestly, I really think their health is declining. My father sometimes has trouble remembering stuff. And my mother has a tendency of repeating things that she said a thousand times already. I keep telling them alcohol is the worst thing you can drink. But they don't want to hear it. Not to mention all they eat is carbs. Pizza, pasta, rice, cereal, bread.

Literally millions of bourbon drinkers will disagree. It all depends on the people. Some people drink to forget. Some people want to have a good time and take the edge off and get wasted every once in a while. Some people have an addiction to it. But there’s also people who admire the complexity of how whiskey is made. How you can get a multitude of different hints of smells, how you can taste the difference between oak but finishes off in a vanilla.

To say nobody drinks for the taste is a lie. Although one’s experience may be relatable to others doesn’t make it a must or guarantee for everyone. Just not drinking alone doesn’t automatically make you level up for some even small amount may even cause a benefit. The dependence is the issue the use isn’t the problem

My wife is drinking for the taste, couple a times a year. She likes to get Porn Star Martini with Passion fruit jelly and that fine Italian Prosecco, especialy in fine restaurant.
Don't get it twisted man, people do drink 1-2 drinks for the entire night to get a good taste. Like for example some old cognac. It's not always about the TIPSY effect.The same with good Cuban Cigar, you dont inhale it, you just taste it.

I rarely drink but I love the taste of IPAs and a good jack n coke. When I do drink I don’t get drunk and only have a few. Don’t like the feeling of being drunk.

To be honest. I enjoy a good bourbon. Sure… there’s a point to how it makes one feel. I’m also fully aware of the time and effort it takes to make the product and I respect the process.
But contrary to what some people feel, I genuinely sleep better when I have 1 glass of bourbon in ice and then hit the hay. But that’s me. Not a huge fan of getting wasted anymore.
