My grandfather started eating 5 eggs a day even though he was going against his doctor's advice. His triglycerides lowered, his a1c and fasting glucose lowered as well as his CRP. He feels much better now.

I eat 12-18 eggs per week, at 38 my total cholesterol was 162 and my HDL at 86, more than half! That’s amazing news for eggs…triglycerides at just 52 also!

Can you clarify the type two diabetes correlation? With eggs being such a large part of a ketogenic diet for those with diabetes/high blood sugars are eggs now spiking sugars?

Whenever I have eggs , my insulin and blood glucose remain stabilized. My LDL cholesterol has dropped by 40% after having 2 boiled eggs daily for 4 months. Contrary to popular belief, eggs and lean proteins like fish are excellent for health. Try including 2 boiled eggs and some fatty fish in your diet daily.

I'm glad someone finally made an exception for people with Familia hypercholesterolemia. In a person with normal lipid profiles, eggs a certainly no problem. But, people with genetic issues need to steer clear of online medical advice

I would say no more than 2 eggs per day and you're fine. The eggs I buy are a bit expensive, so I usually only eat 1 per day.

I wonder if this debate has to do with the quality of the eggs. Or even the environment that the hens are kept in. Overtime I've seen more cage-free eggs options and stores I wonder if they've improved in quality or is previously poor quality once had poor nutrition profile

I noticed the month I ate a lot of eggs I went for my blood works and my cholesterol was really high —the following year I went to get my blood works-didn’t really ate a lot of eggs that month and my cholesterol was back to normal
