the day that shah left, was the day Iran died...1979 was not a revolution, but a national suicide, it was a disaster...now the people of Iran have realized the huge mistake they made 44 years ago, the future is unknown(it is possible the monarchy will return but remains to be seen), what is known is that the Islamic regime is nearing it's end :)

It's very sad. Pahlavi's son likely would have reformed the country into a constitutional monarchy after being crowned the Shah. Iran would be as rich as Western European countries.

And when he took power. He offed the people who were once his allies to maintain his grip on power

I'm sure the Iranians, with hindsight, would prefer the Shah over another religious zealot.

The Shah didn’t leave for medical treatment; he needed treatment after he left. He left because of the revolution. Some of the people around him claim that he thought the US had plans to put him back on the throne. He had long depended on the belief that if Iran fell to the clerics, they would be so incompetent that the Soviets would walk in and take over. There was probably a good deal of truth to that, but by the late 70s the US had given up on him and the CIA was more intrigued by the idea of an Islamic Revolution spreading into the Muslim parts of the Soviet Union and destabilizing Moscow. But that never happened.

Former Prime Ministers in the Shah's cabinet had warned him that if he continued on this path, he would be overthrown, but Shah did not take their advise.

It was started by British government because they didn't like the Shah being such a successful leader and UK having so little control over oil

Much of this, aside from your terrible mispronounciation of the names, is not telling the whol story. Our country didn't rebel against the shah simply because they were tired of him, Khomeini did not just come out of nowhere and bring Isalmic fundamentalism to Iran. He was brought in and supported by the West, namely America and the UK, to topple what was becoming a great power in the middle east. We were a country in which people had rights, people had a good economy to live under, and people were overwhelmingly happier in Iran under his rule. He sure as hell wasn't perfect, but almost anyone who lived in Iran under the Shah will likely tell you that it was a far better country than what we have now. Khomeini and the west tried to bring Iran to its knees and they unfortunately succeeded.

We, the new generation of Iranians, blame our fathers for making the revolution. Iran's 1975 revolution was a dark and shameful event

Our king was not corrupt... It was just an Islamic propaganda

People who rather have the Shah back in throne rather than Khomeini are the same kind of people who prefer Batista than Castro
