"Branding" is B.S. It is a euphemism to hide the failed, obsolete Advertising strategy formerly called "Institutional".
The more effective, sane alternative is "Direct Response" Advertising. But most ad agencies do NOT understand or exercise it. Largely because they make less money on Direct Response".
