abby, you’ve been a pivotal part of my ED healing journey, it’s sad there aren’t many other creators out there like you who share such valuable, scientific-backed education on diets and pointing out the hypocrisy and harms of ED culture unfortunately perpetuated by soooo many influencers. your compassionate and educational takes are always appreciated. i share what i learn from you with everyone i know, even if they don’t seem to be “struggling” with food/ED behaviors. thank you for all you do!

Thank you so much for these. I’m currently in residential eating disorder treatment for the second time this year, and it’s so nice to see someone who actually eats “normal” instead of dieting. For so long I’ve been taught that this kind of eating is way too much, but you make me see that it’s not. Thank you ❤

Oh man I’m so grateful to see you eating oatmeal as your first meal. I am on bottom range of prediabetes and everything I’m finding is like “eat only protein and no carbs” in the morning. And they are like eggs and heavy dairy and meat. But I can’t have anything like that in the morning or my stomach is upset right away. Oatmeal with peanut butter for protein is what I added instead of my previous Power Crunch bar morning addiction. It’s hard finding the balance between what my body tolerates and all the “do this and only this or you are doing it ALL WRONG” advice.

I’m happy you popped up on my feed. Do you have any advice for someone who has been severely obese for over three decades and done every stupid diet fad out there and has had enough of abusing her body and just wants to live a healthy lifestyle? After years of fads/restrictions etc, I genuinely have no idea what a healthy, balanced “diet” is. I’m ashamed to say it’s taken the death of my 39 year old best friend (she died from obesity complications) to realise I’m slowly killing my self. I am ready to change my life, but what is “healthy?” Thank you. ❤

No joke, Abbey is a safe haven in an otherwise ED festered online community.
