80 hours might be extreme, but too many of us are stuck in a 40 hour work week mentality. Most of us will need to work more than 40 hours a week especially if only one spouse is working.

You can’t work 80 hours per week and have time for kids. It’s not at all possible.

I like Dave Ramsey. Except, 80 hours a week is 11 hours, 7 days a week. So work 11 hours, then come home and have time for your family and still try to get appropriate sleep? Oh, and this does NOT include any time for any personal interest.
I’m all about hustling, but not with this math. People can do better without working 24/7 without a work life balance. ‘The 4 hour work week,’ has some insightful information.
