“Drop the rock”. I’m in recovery from drug/alcohol abuse and PTSD. Former police officer. Still have dreams…..even at 48 after having been stripped of everything. I can tell I am hung up on the past. I have spent most of my life believing the things that my sick parents drilled into me either deliberately or through osmosis. My brain has been wired to blame myself for a lot of things that were simply beyond my control. There is a reason the windshield is so much larger than the rear view mirror in your car. I don’t know how to stop fighting for my life.
