The best thing about it is the weight reduction from the weights of other tents. The downside of all one man tents and bivys, if you ask me, is lack of room. At some point, you're gonna feel like you are laying in a casket. Which is why I would never use a bivy. I would just rather carry a 2 man 5 foot by 7 foot A frame trail tent.

The other thing is unless itâs soft ground itâs hard to pitch on rocky area. I had trouble a couple times but take the bad with the good on this tent! Love this tent

I have to wonder why the need for another video about the Durston? I took you for your word when you replied to some on Facebook that it was just a joke. Now it just seems a little flat. Respectfully. I have really learned a lot from you over the years but this kind of bothers me. Personally, I absolutely love my Durston X-Mid 2 Pro. I know my opinion matters very little if at all. Havenât used one but I think free standing tents are superior. Fast and easy to set up. No worry about proper pitch. More versatile, roomier and not going to fall down if a guy line gets yanked out.

Loved the deadpan humor. And, I am so glad I used my Durston on the Colorado Trail instead of my Duplex. The Durston looked way cooler on the saddle overlooking the valley with the sunsetting behind it than anything else I own. Man, that i one solid memory.
