As a very active 46 yr young ballerina and athlete, I find calcium citrate ×3 per week does keep the muscles more responsive and quick. I take vit d+k2 and iodine on some days for an extra boost in energy. Yeah, and B complex.

Calcium is overstated obviously dont need to supplement it in most cases but everyone should counter balance with absorbable forms of magnesium as calcium and magnesium antagonize eachother.

I find that I have way more muscle cramps without calcium supplements. To reduce the risk of too high blood levels, my daily supplement level never goes above 50% of the RDA and it is spread between morning and evening meals.
