This is so true. June was a nightmare as I tried unsuccessfully to quit sugar, so I quit trying to quit and just ate more healthy food and snacked more on nuts and a mix of cottage cheese and tuna throughout the day. By filling in the cravings with something else to eat, I got through all of July without craving or eating chocolates, pies, ice cream, and potato chips.

So glad to hear this, I've always been tacical about leaving my debit/credit card behind so I wouldn't have to just brute force will power, to not buy everything from the mall I worked at. Helps a lot. Struggling emotionally like that, to get a goal really does use something up, or builds a part of the brain up that wants to be rewarded for it's struggle. Like cheating on a diet after being so dilligent. Work WITH yourself. Accept your weakness and roll with the punches.
