that still makes no sense to me, since the yen has maintain value in japan. well other currencies have lost value in their countries. That exchange rate system makes no sense on why it effects the value of a currency

The plane tickets are still around 3000-4000 euro, then a month off work is 2000 euro, and I would still need 10.000 euro in cash to live a month in Japan. So a total of 20.000 euro..
not that cheap 😢. I make it just around 2000 euro a month.

Also last time I checked inflation in Japan is almost stagnant until recently. From 2018-2023 inflation is only about 5% I think.

Went to Japan May 2023, food was very cheap, hotels a good value and everything runs so well and safe, super nice relaxing trip.
