Great footage! Sad for locals though if this hits residential areas. The 2018 Leilani eruption was devastating to many local families and folks who had to live in shelters for months. Praying for the people of Hawaii. Praying this eruption steers clear of homes and precious locations on Big Island!

I live in Kona and was up there last night. So amazing.

I was just there two weeks ago and had been obsessing over it since. I read everything that I could find about Mauna Loa and Kilauea and watched countless videos. I was fixated on the dangers of it erupting again and knowing Kona and Hilo are built on its lava. I cannot believe I was on that massive wonder of nature and it woke up so soon since I was there. The native Hawaiians know they can always rebuild, it’s in their spirit to be born on a volcano and love it no matter what. I get choked up just thinking about it
