I understand your pain Bret.
My genetics gifted me with wide hips and not so good shoulders.
So, I had to bust my ass off to really widen my deltoids.

My solution which I used in the last 3.5 years was to train my lateral delt 3 times a week with moderate weight, high reps like 12-15 and super slow tempo.
Now, I can say that I'm satisfied with my physiqueđ

Those lateral raises are ⌠yes⌠challenging. I think an even more challenging one is to leans on an incline bench at about 60 degrees. One arm then is available to lift to the side. Try it.
