Hello everyone! My name is Jekaterina, and I have opened this channel to document my studies to become a qualified counsellor. I am starting my journey with the introductory NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills and I wish to record my reflections after each lesson as well as share my overall experience and any reading/study material.
Together we will explore the key skills and techniques required in counselling career, understand what counsellors actually do and how they can help people when ‘life becomes a bit too much’. Whether you wish to a become a counsellor yourself or simply wish to work on your emotional wellbeing I hope that you will find this channel useful.
P.S. my logo is inspired by ‘Kintsugi’, the Japanese art of putting broken pottery pieces back together with gold. It teaches us an important lesson: sometimes in the process of repairing things that have broken and healing ourselves, we actually create something more unique, beautiful and resilient.
