Hello everyone, I hope youโre doing well. Some of you may have seen a large amount of upset/disappointment in the comments of two recent videos regarding the promotional segment for BetterHelp. I prefer to keep the video comments free from too much conflict, therefore Iโm parking a response here.
I have been offered partnerships with BetterHelp many times over the years and always turned them down. There was negativity surrounding the company at the time. The way the marketing was done in the very early days did not sit right with me. Last year I began working with a highly professional and reputable agency in the US and was offered BetterHelp again. I decided to look further into the business, their services, their marketing procedures and found that a lot has changed. I also saw that the company is bound by a stricter privacy programme than is required by other companies since it has a decision from the FTC.
It is also encouraged but not required or forced in any way that partners (influencers - I donโt like that word!) use their service so I did just that and still am. It came at the right time as I was looking to find a new therapist and of course I wanted to experience the company for myself.
The service I have received has been excellent. I was looking out for all of the situations I had seen in negative and positive reviews on Trustpilot, otherโs experiences Iโd listened to on YouTube and rumours I had read, even contacted help and received great responses each time. I see my therapist each week, receive messages from her many times in between with reading and other homework and join classes when I have time. I also checked her education and experience. She is highly qualified. Yes, it costs each month and I wonโt be able to afford it indefinitely but itโs there if you can afford it. I know that some of my viewers can and would be interested in the offer.
Some of you may know already about the situation I am dealing with currently regarding the Whispaws sanctuary in Serbia. There was an announcement on the whispaws social media though it had to be very carefully worded. I canโt legally explain the whole situation until all of the court cases are done. Itโs been absolutely devastating honestly, the โlemonsโ I mentioned in a video earlier this year. The very first BetterHelp promotion I did had a great response through the link and the company asked me for repeat integrations throughout June, July & August. I breathed a sigh of relief quite honestly because now I have means to pay the legal costs needed to fix the issues over there. It lifted a huge weight off my shoulders because itโs likely now that I will be in and out of the Serbian courts for at the least the next year, I have never even stepped inside an English one! I already spent all my savings from my ASMR work on setting up the place, itโs been a constant stress since the beginning and now I have to fight tooth and nail to keep it. Letting the dogs and the supporters down is not something I could live with above all. Iโm looking forward to the day I can reveal the full extent of the most bizarre turn of events. Itโs an education for us all!
So for those who commented regarding BetterHelp last week and for those who didnโt but were also upset. I took my time and did all of the groundwork I could think of before agreeing to the offer. Ultimately no negative experiences have showed up while using it myself.
I am now contracted for two integrations per month coming up for June/July/Aug. However they will be extra videos on a Wednesday. The Sunday videos will be as normal. I wish you all love and if you skip Wednesday uploads, come back in September or not at all. I completely understand and Iโm sorry to have caused friction, I really did not expect that level of backlash.
Thank you to everyone who stuck up for me in the comments too. Iโm sorry I didnโt respond but I read everything. Iโm just trying to keep a calm home life for my family, do my ASMR work in a quiet head and heart space - itโs my sanctuary away from this increasingly crazy world - and work on these cases without freaking out about it all.
