๐Ÿถ๐Ÿถ WOOF WOOF! Hope everyone is having a good weekend, I've been working hard on my review of Nick Spencer's Spider-Man run, but it's been... Challenging ๐Ÿ˜‚
.
Hopefully it'll be uploaded this week, but already it's over an hour long. The change in approach to reviews was a decision I made a few months back, and I don't regret it. Sure, I can't do as many videos, but a lot more goes into each one and I get to engage with the run I'm reading even more. I'm very unlikely to revisit a series I've reviewed, so why not get everything out in one video, rather than trying to fit a time limit and pretty much saying nothing ๐Ÿคท
.
My free time has just been dwindling, and probably only going to get less in the coming months, but even if I can only get one video out a month, I just want to know I'm happy with it, so hopefully it shows in the final video :)

๐Ÿถ๐Ÿถ WOOF WOOF! ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿถ Just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who has checked out the recent video on the biggest s&%t show I've seen in comics that disappeared off the face of the Earth: Tyrese Gibson's MAYHEM!

I spent over a year researching the book in between videos, restructuring the script to include the bingo sheet, interviews, articles, and having the narrative so that it ended with that twist that even caught me off guard!

Hopefully I can continue to do bigger, more researched videos, but they do take time, so if you haven't checked it out already, treat yourself over the weekend, and give it a share wherever possible! It was a bit of a shot in the dark spending so much time on this topic that Image and everyone involved wants everyone to forget! Have a great weekend everyone!

Hopefully the new video will be out either Tuesday or Wednesday this week if there are no issues with copyright and things like that.

Honestly, this one has had my everything put into it. I've been researching the script for over a year now. Recorded over 10 hours of footage. Dug into the deepest parts of the Internet for vlogs, interviews, documentaries etc. All for a comic that fell completely off the face of the planet. I go in hard on this one. No one on the Internet has uncovered what I have in my next video. So please, for my own sanity, it's likely you won't recognise the title of the book I talk about, but please give it a watch ๐Ÿถ

I promised you Mayhem, and this week, I will give you Mayhem!

๐Ÿถ๐Ÿถ WOOF WOOF! My next video will be MAYHEM!
.
I'm not sure when it will be released, but I can guarantee you it will be MAYHEM! This is a project I've wanted to do for years, and everything I've learned about editing, researching, video delivery, all of it has been maxed out for what is coming next. You may not be familiar with the topic, it's the most baffling comic I've ever read that everyone seems to have forgotten about, but it can guarantee if you give it a chance, you won't be disappointed! Keep your eyes peeled for my next upload! ๐Ÿถ

๐Ÿถ๐ŸถWOOF WOOF!๐Ÿถ๐Ÿถ Just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who has already supported my latest video, and it didn't get the backlash I thought it would! Also, the video has performed better than my recent haul, which feels like a personal victory.

When I was starting out with this channel, and I had a lot more time to do videos, doing a monthly haul, Whale Watch and Pull List was possible, but they all took up so much time to create that it took me away from doing passion projects and videos where I can talk about comics rather than just saying 'Hey, here's a book on my shelf!'. Each to their own, and I like watching those types of videos myself, but it wasn't what I enjoyed making the most.

So when I realised last year that I would have less time for videos, I decided to just follow the passion projects. Sure, the Iceberg did well, but stuff like the one on the Image Comics Founders, Darwyn Cooke's Notable Works and the bigger reviews would never be able to top those videos that don't really challenge the creative juices or allow me to research more into the world of comics. Whereas this feels like a bit of a turning point! Sometimes it may take a bit longer to get a video out, but hopefully that will reflect in the final product.

I want to make sure I can keep improving, and bringing out better videos, and each time you see my name appear, you know I gave it 100%, rather than just shove anything out to fit a schedule. So there's been a video in my sights for a while... looking at the most baffling campaign in comics history that no one seems to talk about. It's a risky one, but I've already done months of scripting, digging into the deepest recesses of the internet to find the story of it. I hope you guys enjoy it when it does finally come out, it may be a few weeks, but quality over quantity, always! Have a good weekend guys!

๐Ÿถ๐ŸถWOOF WOOF!๐Ÿถ๐Ÿถ

Just a quick update: The Tom King Batman video is coming! Hopefully this week, but it has been a mountain to climb. Every time I thought the script was done, I'd be reminded of something baffling that I needed to talk about, so this will very easily be the longest review I have ever done on the channel!

As always, its a quality over quantity approach, and I have poured a lot into this one. I am also trying to improve on my voice over skills, its almost a completely different kettle of fish to filming in front of a camera, and I do want to get better at it.

But yeah, YouTube tends to think I've quit the channel if I go a week without an upload, so engagement tends to tank, but I'm still here, there are still videos coming, and hopefully this one is worth the wait!

๐Ÿถ๐Ÿถ WOOF WOOF! Just wanted to throw a quick apology out for not uploading this week, but I've been working on my Darwyn Cooke: Top 5 Notable Works and I want to make sure I give it the time it deserves. I never know how this series is going to land, but like I said last year, my videos are going to be passion projects that I want to make from now on.
.
Check out my Image Comics Founders video, the Marvel Iceberg, or my previous Top 5 Notable Works on Jim Lee and George Perez if you want a sample of what's coming up!
.
In saying this, though, the reduced output of videos has had a bit of a negative impact on the channel, so I am in the process of introducing Memberships (Yeah, I know, another channel doing this) and I'm finalising the perks as we speak so that they can officially launch in the coming weeks. One thing I do want to do for Members is an exclusive review each month, on top of weekly updates of which collected editions are must buys, involvement in what content comes onto the channel, and early access to videos. The cheapest tier starts at ยฃ0.99 and if you do have any spare cash and want to support the channel, click the Join button and see what you can get!
.
I'm also working on a few reviews: Batman by Tom King, Iron Man: Extremis, Old Man Logan and Animal Man by Morrison, on top of a DC Comics Iceberg I know a lot of you were asking for!
.
So apologies for no video this week, but a big one is coming up, and I hope it can be a worthy tribute to Darwyn Cooke's career. What I will say, is support the videos you want to see more of, that's how I'll know what to work on in future. But have a great weekend everyone! Hope you're reading some good books! ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿถ
