RIP Johnny Crawford (1946-2021), co-star of “The Rifleman” and a former Mouseketeer. Johnny appeared on American Bandstand 3 times - Jan. 31, 1962 to promote “The Rifleman”, July 18, 1962 to guest host and to promote his singing career by performing his single “Cindy’s Birthday” and March 7, 1964 to perform his single “Sandy”. I believe this picture is from his first appearance on January 31, 1962.

COLOR MY WORLD: Thank you Bob James for your excellent drawing of the American Bandstand dance floor in 1967. Also thank you Andrew Haberman for colorizing these American Bandstand screen shots. These pictures help those of us that weren’t there to imagine what it might have been like back in the day. Great work!

Who was your favorite James Bond? (I know - I left out George Lazenby and David Niven but there’s only 5 options)

If you watched American Bandstand and/or Soul Train in the 70’s and 80’s (the years they were both on at the same time) which one did you like better?

Here are the top selling American, all-male, rock groups in 1967. Which one do you like the best? (There are a lot of other groups that weren’t quite as successful in ‘67 such as The Doors, The Beach Boys, Gary Puckett & the Union Gap, Jay & the Techniques, The Box Tops, etc... if your favorite from ‘67 isn’t in the survey, please comment)
