T4 syndrome is rarely diagnosed, yet it commonly happens. It’s often the cause of stabbing upper back pain right in the center of the spine.
Healthcare professionals attempt to do the best they can with what they know, so they often ask patients to do a variety of treatments that are really just trial and error.
There’s potential harm in this since many of these random treatments may cause more harm and help.

After meniscus surgery, there is so much uncertainty about what is happening in your knee. One of the biggest fears is that something goes wrong with the surgery, especially if you had a meniscus repair.
Meniscus repairs are more prone to having issues after surgery. Meniscectomy surgery tends to have less problems after, but people usually develop osteoarthritis at earlier ages after meniscectomy surgery.
So it’s a double edged sword in choosing which surgery (if you have the option).
You can try a repair, but have to be very careful so you don’t mess up the surgery. That way you can preserve your meniscus.

Knee swelling, often called water on the knee, can be chronic and debilitating. It can lead to a loss of motion in the knee and the ability to walk or stand too!
Sometimes doctors offer to drain the fluid in the knee to reduce the swelling. This can help with tolerating more standing, walking and can instantly increase mobility as well.
But is this a good thing to do?
Should you get your knee drained to help with knee pain?
What if that fluid is supposed to be there for a specific reason?
Why does the fluid build up again?
Dr. David answers all these questions about draining the water on the knee.

Ignoring a rotator cuff tear almost always causes problems later on.
It's crucially important to do the right treatment to allow the rotator cuff tear to heal and feel better in the short term. This allows it to be ready to take on more force later so that the underlying root problem can be addressed and allow for long-term recovery.
