While self-regulation can be a challenging skill for many children, research has shown that games and fun activities can be effective in promoting the ability to self-regulate for children who are struggling.
Games and therapy tools that support planning and problem solving, memory, attention, motor control, and sequencing can help kids develop the ability to self-regulate despite challenging situations and circumstances. Calming techniques, self-awareness exercises, and mindfulness activities can also be effective in supporting the development of self-regulation.
As a popular request from many parents, teachers and counselors I met with this year, I am ready with my second video in the Self-Regulation series, and in this video I give you 5 more research-proven self-regulation games for kids, and also explain 𝗵𝗼𝘄 & 𝘄𝗵𝘆 these games help develop self-regulation. Months of research went into making this video. I will provide links to all the research articles, and 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗘𝗦 with fresh ideas for all the games mentioned in the video.
