"Do you often give into your worst impulses? Feel like you’ve lost control and don’t know how you’ll reach your goals if you keep failing like this?

It’s ok.

You’re human.

There are ways we can work with our psychology to manage these impulses and not let our bad habits defeat us. In this episode, Matt talks about one of the single biggest keys to picking yourself back up and getting what you want when you feel like you keep letting yourself down. "

What’s important is not how much love someone feels for you; the only thing that matters is how they love you.

The reality of life is that we can be “in love” with someone who doesn’t share any of our goals, who’s bad for us, who’s a terrible teammate, and who possibly doesn’t even care for us.

When this happens, our job is to fall out of love with this person.

Someone who loves you in the true sense of the word—as a verb rather than a noun—is all that matters. If someone says to me, “I love you, but I don’t want to be with you and I have no interest in showing up for you,” then the fact that they say they feel love for me is irrelevant.

“Things Were Going Well . . . Then He Ended it Suddenly”

This is something one of my Love Life Club members said to me recently . . . but the truth is, I‘ve heard this from hundreds of people over my career.

They meet someone they really like who claims to like them back just as much. Early on, everything is great. They communicate, they make plans, they want to spend time with you . . . until one day, all of a sudden, they say they can‘t keep going, and just like that, the relationship is over.

If you‘ve experienced this, or know someone who has, you know how devastating this can be for the person being left . . .

So if you‘re wondering why someone would leave when everything was going well, and how to prevent this from happening again, you cannot miss this episode of the Love Life podcast.
