You know how other kinds of YouTubers make a Let's Play chan
That algorithm everyone's always complaining about seems to have put me in the furry bucket, which is great when I want to make furry content, but kind of a bummer whenever I express other interests and the site acts like it doesn't know what to do with that lol
Anyway, both of my horror movie video essays are pretty dead in the water these days, so statistically, if you're into that kind of thing, you need to check them out manually rather than hope YouTube decides to show them to you some day.

Anyway, back to working on the Beast Complex video script. Didn't mean for it to take this long, but life always moves fast. The upside of delaying it for the Sigma Paws video is that we're getting a Legoshi and Haru chapter in a week, so I get to include that now.
I met a whole bunch of you at FWA and AC this year, but when I was passing out stickers, no one knew who my characters Jet or Argo were from our TTRPG show! Tragic! So here's another shoutout: check out @GnollplayingGames !!!
Unlike a lot of small TTRPG channels that have you staring at a boring grid in roll20 for hours, we commission character sprites and present the story more like a furry visual novel. We also have short, digestible storylines, with our two seasons so far being only seven and eight sessions long. People who have given it a shot seem to love it, since we've gotten an absolutely insane amount of fan art for a show that gets maybe 2k views an episode.
When starting a new channel on youtube it's pretty hard to get off the ground, so the show depends on you checking it out instead of scrolling past! It'd be cool if this became A Thing one day, but for now I'd love to at least make it self-sustaining lol

The hyena "curtain" people keep asking about is a blanket that showed up in my PO box last year. I kinda throw my "set" together in five minutes before recording a video, just trying to find anything that can make for an okay shot. Sourcing it was a bit tough, but I did find a post of the image titled "hyena pattern" by brindledcashew on FurAffinity back in 2012 [I feel like I can't link FA on youtube lol]. I can't find evidence of a store anywhere, so my guess is someone on Amazon probably ripped the image and has since been taken down for copyright violations or something.
I pre-ordered my Zodd figure from the BigBadToyStore a while back and got a bit jump-scared when he arrived and was huuuuge. If you would also like to have distracting musculature on your desk, it looks like he's still in stock and hasn't gone the way of all those exorbitantly expensive second-hand Weregarurumon figures I keep looking at. Yet. I don't even like Digimon really he's just that cool. Like Obstagoon. I do read Berserk though. You saw my collection in the Beastars video.

And finally we have the miserable lemur. He's by Eric Strother! I couldn't find an active store online, but I've seen him at a lot of cons, generally at the far corner of that huge black stall that Jonathan Vair Duncan brings everywhere. I bought the print in person. I've also bought too many from JVD lol. You can usually spot Eric because he's got these really beautiful furry masks on display. Like solid masks, not fursuit heads. My resistance to getting one wears thinner every year.

The next video essay script is coming along fairly quickly. Patrons get to read through a frozen snapshot of where I was before I left for FWA and had to take a break from working on it. Hope to have a finished script soon! Maybe I'll stick to what I'm doing, maybe I'll restructure it. I need to weigh how valuable it is to be tight and concise, vs the potential value of explaining a whole manga to Beastars anime viewers who will never read it.
Needed something to keep me company on the way home from FWA and this video rocks. A breakdown of how shaky the history of gender is, both narratively and scientifically.
WHERE HAVE I BEEN?! Well, I actually put out another video essay about a month ago, but it was kind of dead on arrival so it may not have been shown to you. I'm rebranding it a bit to see if I can give it a second chance. Check it out! Anyway, I'm pretty far along on a script for a video on Beast Complex, the half-predecessor, half-spinoff of Beastars. I'll probably put up a fragmented WIP script up on Patreon this week before I leave for FWA, and then once I get back from that trip I'll be trying to get that video made for ya'll ASAP!
