As I woke this morning my first words were of prayer and gratitude. I thanked God for the birth of our Christ who came to show us the way and help us to truly shine our light.

Light is defined as life and seen in John 1:4, “In Him was life; and the life was the light of men”. Those have faith through Him will have eternal life. This “life” is a gift Jesus brought from God into a dying world.

Never has there been a more important time to remember this. Jesus was also know as The Prince of Peace and right now this world needs peace.

Last night we sang and lit candles and as we lit each other’s candles I was reminded that we don’t lose our own light by lighting someone else and helping them, it just increases the light in the world.

So today I send you infinite love and encourage you to shine your light. If you are struggling to shine or feel dimmed today, I will shine even brighter and carry you with me until you can shine fully again.

Dear God
On this blessed and magical day we thank you for gifting us with your son.
As he walked this earth as one of us, he taught us so many lessons. Some of the most important were of kindness and forgiveness.
Today we thank you for this beautiful life and even when I struggle I know you are right there beside me.
I am never alone and with you I can do all things.
Amen
