This is tricky to talk about. I think itās because talking about this project at all carries an inevitable irony with it (and thereās not really a way around it). So here it goesā¦In a few weeks Iām putting out a collection of songs that have felt like a beautiful secret to me. Theyāve been my ongoing soundtrack for communion, prayer, worship, contemplation and stillness for months. Jesus withdrew to lonely places often. Seems like it was really important to him. When it came to prayer, he asked us to do it in secret. And in a modern era where we are more ārewardedā for our reach than our depthā¦more socially incentivized to be known by others than known by Himā¦more encouraged to āmake a name for ourselvesā than to find contentment in Hisā¦.more recognized for our āpersonal brandsā than for our āloveāā¦the secret, hidden place with God feels all the more beautifully needed. Iām calling this project āHappily Hiddenā and thatās also my prayer for anyone that hears it. I hope it invites you into moments with God that no one else will ever know about except you and Him.

Ok - here we go. This is a day that Iāve been looking forward to for months now (It feels like Iāve been keeping some kind of beautiful secret or something.) Iāve been working on a project and couldnāt be more excited to have my friend @karijobe singing on this first song with me! This song yallā¦so special. I feel like I can gush over it because I didnāt write it. A friend of mine sent it to me a couple years ago (written by @prayerandworship_). This song has helped me refocus and recenter my heart.
