David was a man who acknowledged the hand of God upon his life but he did not have access to the Holy Spirit like we do today. We are born-again (born of God’s Spirit) and our spiritual DNA now looks like Jesus.
What are you saying concerning your life as a born-again believer? How you see yourself will determine what follows you. The information you feed your mind with will determine your perception of yourself and others.
So we must renew our minds with the word of God so that we can walk and talk like we are born of God (Romans 12:2).
…having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever…, 1 Peter 1:23
Transformation doesn’t end when you receive Jesus. True transformation continues as you align your confession with the same Word that birthed you.
You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4
The world is under the devil’s authority but those in Jesus have authority over him. We do not live in fear, but acknowledge and confess that the One who lives in us is greater than he that lives in the world (satan).
Confession
Father, thank you for birthing us again by your son Jesus Christ. We thank you for your power that is greater than all the powers of the enemy. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.

CharisDEVO: Occupying the mind with God’s word
2 …but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. Psalm 1:2
Meditation is slowly becoming known in the Christian community as many of us dig deeper into God’s truth.
Meditation is a very old practice, but it has had a very bad reputation because other religions practice it. Abraham meditated on the word of God even though he didn’t have the scriptures like we do.
And Isaac went out to meditate in the field in the evening; and he lifted his eyes and looked, and there, the camels were coming. Genesis 24:63
To meditate means to revolve a thought in your mind, to imagine, ponder, muse, mutter, or to roar.
Most believers don’t receive revelation from God’s word because they don’t meditate on the word of God. Meditation gives us a deeper understanding or insight into the things of God.
The Lord wants us to meditate instead of worrying about issues. There are so many scriptures we could be meditating on than worrying, feeling anxious, fearful, and uncertain.
8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things arelovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. Philippians 4:18
Confession
Father, I thank you for sending your word. Your word gives me peace, comfort, and rest in the midst of everything. Give me insight and revelation as I meditate on your word. In Jesus’ name, amen.

CharisDEVO: God’s counsel stands
In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will…, Ephesians 1:11
God never steps out of His own counsel because He’s the God of integrity. He will never say one thing and do the other. This explains why He is the One and only true God.
God’s counsel comes from His Word. He will never violate His own will because we would have the right to challenge His veracity.
140 Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it. Psalm 119:140
The pureness of God’s word requires that we embrace His counsel without a second thought. As you hear His word, let faith build up in you.
Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure,’ Isaiah 46:10
The devil is always trying to distract God’s people from His will because He knows what the Lord can do when we believe His counsel. Seeking the counsel of God and believing in it will separate you from mediocrity.
Whatever God said about you is His final word, and consider anything else untruthful.
Confession
The word of God is His final Word concerning me, my family, and my friends. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. God’s word stands and there’s nothing any devil from hell can do about it.

CharisDEVO: That I may know Him
For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell…, Colossians 1:19
Imagine having the One who carries the fullness of the Father. Jesus is living in you and I believe our lives should not be mediocre because we carry the One who has the fullness of the Godhead.
Our Christian walk can only be as fulfilling as our level of renewing the mind with the word of God. The more you believe God’s word, the more aware you become of His will.
10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; Philippians 3:10
Paul’s payer for himself was not to have as many houses, more chariots, more friends, more clothes, or more of everything. He only desired to know Jesus.
He denied himself and all selfish ambitions to pursue the One who reigns forever. No man has ever desired to know God and remained the same.
‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’ Jeremiah 33:3
Call unto God like Paul did and He will answer you. Ask Him to give you more knowledge of His will, in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.
Personally, I think it’s one of the most important prayers we must prayer everyday. Keep praying that the Spirit of God will open your eyes to see things in His word that will change your life and your generation.
Prayer
Father, open my eyes and show me things in your Word, for your Word is powerful and can change anything. Give me wisdom, understanding, and revelation, and may I always desire to know you more. In Jesus’ name, amen.
