Some of my thoughts on published topics today having studies AQA, Edexcel and OCR releases
1) A long list of very open topic areas have been given which isnβt that helpful to narrow down revision
2) Most helpful is seeing what wonβt be explicitly assessed, otherwise very vague and open ended topic lists
3) Lots of topics listed could easily be integrated so important to be revising for questions like this rather than for questions assessing topic areas in isolation
4) Topic areas not mentioned could be highly useful for questions that do feature so still very good to revise these topics that have links to other areas of the course
5) The guidance for quantitative skills is helpful and much more specific β these should be relatively easy questions to practise for
6) Overall these publications shouldnβt change your revision dramatically β for all topics listed, learn everything and practise past essays well. Also think carefully about whether non explicitly assessed material will be helpful

When I was studying Economics at A Level and at University, I often wondered why, given the current state of technology and communication, there were never any recordings of class or lecture content. Revision was difficult, grasping key concepts was at times difficult - it was hard to stay ahead of the game. Now I have the opportunity to fill that void by making Economics tutorial videos suitable for students at AS, A Level and IB as a teacher and Head of Economics. I also post videos to best guide exam technique to aid revision for those all important exams, all for the benefit of students; enjoy!
