I'm in the new studio! Now I just need to unpack everything. And build the new set up. And get some new gear. Give me a few weeks...
Thank you to everyone who has been able to support me - on Patreon, on Nebula, or just sharing my videos - for making this possible ❤️ I can't wait to show you what I can do with this space!
If you're not following @ClimateTown sort yourself out
This video never quite found its audience when I posted it two years ago. Have given it an updated title and thumbnail to see if the algorithm can do its thing this time...
I was delighted to be part of @TomScottGo's podcast Lateral! The full episode is available wherever you cast your pods, but here's a clip of me having an idea about toilets and alligators...
Every year Harvard and startup @PiqueAction shoutout creators working in the climate space. This year they're spotlighting 16 incredible activists and educators from around the world. And, er, me.
I'm absolutely thrilled to be included in this list! I'm the least interesting part of it though. Please do go check out the other climate creators and the amazing work they do - I've been on a following binge and look forward to keeping track of this cohort as the year goes on.

New podcast alert! Along with my friend Dr Shini Somara I host the new podcast "Mission: Responsible", examining how we can live, work, and play in a sustainable way. Naturally, this requires me to become a secret agent, as you can see in the publicity images :P
This was a TON of fun to work on, examining not just the carbon cost of food, transport, and work, but also considering our other impacts on the environment such as plastic waste, noise pollution, and material life cycles. We talk to experts, visit innovative projects on location, and even try our hand at some practical challenges.
It's really quite seriously good, and if you like my videos I think you'll love it. Link in the comments!
Do you like how @answerinprogress make their videos? Ever wondered how the team goes from concept to complete video?
Today the final episode of season 1 of the "How To Make A Science Video" podcast was released, chatting to Sabrina Cruz about just that: how they approach video ideas, production, and iterative growth.
If you like the show, then the ten episodes of season 1 are all available wherever you catch your pods. Soph and I had a blast making these, and hopefully there will be more coming before long!

If you like the nerdier side of things I make, you may enjoy this fab battle report in which my Hawaiian orks make a guest appearance!
This was quite possibly the most fun game of 40k I've ever played, and the editors did a fantastic job of getting that fun across ❤️ One to check out even if you know nothing about Warhammer!

My name is Simon and I make videos to improve your climate literacy.
In particular I focus on the physical Earth system, and how the atmosphere, climate, and climate change intersects with our lives. Sometimes I even try to be funny.
Since completing my PhD in atmospheric physics at the University of Exeter, this has been my full time job. I also stream on Twitch, host the How To Make A Science Video podcast, and wrote a book!
