This 1967 Porsche 912 was picked up directly from the factor
This 1967 Porsche 912 was picked up directly from the factory in Stuttgart, Germany by its first and only original owner (our late Dad, George Vaccaro) on June 16, 1967. Upon delivery, our parents toured & camped in Europe over the next 3 months visiting 10 countries & driving 6K miles. At the end of the summer, the intent was to ship the car back to San Francisco and sell it (to cover trip costs), but Dad fell in love with it and that didn't happen. Instead, he kept the car in excellent condition inside and out as "received" over the next 54 years despite putting 189K miles on the car.
His love affair continued until his passing in early 2021.
To help honor our Dad's legacy and pay tribute to this special car, we are dedicated to properly documenting its story before finding a new caretaker who we hope will enjoy the car as much as he did.
